Question: How do I stay motivated to get fit?
Answer: That's a great question! It can be hard to stay motivated. Here are a few tips to make it easier to stay motivated to exercise, both at work or at home.
- Bring your workout clothes to work. It is easier to workout after work if you brought your clothes.
- Sign up for a charity walk/run. Once you sign up, you're committed not only to the exercise but also to the good feeling of contributing to a charity.
- Aim to move just a little more each day. Take the stairs, park further away, take a mid-day break and walk around indoors.
- Find someone that will hold you accountable to your workout. Let a friend, spouse, co-worker or neighbor help you support your healthier goals.
- Purchase a fitness magazine. Reading about exercise and healthy food ideas can be inspirational.
- Write down why you want to be healthy. Keep your goal in front of you.
