The Alliance for Health Promotion is a health advocacy association that collaborates with organizations in the public and private sectors to implement best practice approaches to promote healthy lifestyles and reduce behavior-based diseases in Indiana. There is an emerging movement in Central Indiana to bring together advocates of community design, transportation and health to support healthy and active living. Initially conceived in the summer of 2006, this movement has prompted the development of a new coalition, Health by Design, which has a diverse and growing membership.
