Ujima is an African word meaning collective work and responsibility. It also is a group of local organizations, led by Forest Manor Multi-Service Center, working together to provide at risk teens and families healthier lifestyles. The collaboration offers teens the opportunity to get involved in various physical activities they might not normally try on their own. Through a series of classes offered two to five times a week for up to 48 weeks, youth will increase their knowledge about wellness and reduce the misconceptions they have associated with eating well and staying fit.
