The National Institute for Fitness and Sport (NIFS) is a non-profit organization that was established in 1985 by community leaders. On November 1, 1988, NIFS dedicated its 117,000-square-foot Institute and the opening of the Fitness Center, which serves thousands of members. Today, NIFS provides school and youth services as well as corporate wellness programs and the Fitness Center. NIFS' Families Involved Together (F.I.T.) program provides valuable family fitness time in the Center for all NIFS members, guests and their children.
