Purdue Extension - Marion County offers a variety of nutrition and fitness programs. Professor Popcorn is taught by Family Nutrition Program para professionals in Marion County schools that have free- and reduced school lunch programs. Purdue Extension - Marion County also provides a variety of programs for summer camps throughout the city. For example, we teach Health and Nutrition from the Garden where the 5 food groups are tied to gardening and farming. We also present Get Active, Get Fit where youth participate in interactive play and games to reinforce the importance of daily physical activity and we also underscore the importance of eating healthy food daily.
